During heavy rain fall the sheer volume of water flowing off the A15 at the corner of Temple Road, opposite the Robin Hood pub, makes an already difficult situation significantly worse for our village.
Water cascading from the A15 directly into Aslackby dramatically increases flood levels throughout the village – creating a serious issue that puts the village at risk of flooding.
Lincolnshire County Council has acknowledged the problem and previously identified a programme of works that would divert this water to the east of the village, away from residential areas. Unfortunately, this essential work has been downgraded to a lower priority and rescheduled, leaving us vulnerable to future flooding.
What You Can Do
We’re asking all village residents to help by reporting this issue through FixMyStreet. The more people who report this drainage problem, the stronger our case becomes for getting this work prioritised.
Here’s how to help:
- Visit fixmystreet
- Enter the location: A15 corner of Temple Road, opposite Robin Hood pub, Aslackby
- Select the category for drainage or flooding issues
- Describe the problem – you can use the following points:
- Water flows off the A15 into the village during heavy rain
- This significantly worsens risk of flooding in the village
- Lincs CC identified remedial works but downgraded them as lower priority
- The issue makes flooding in Aslackby likely in extreme weather
- Request confirmation of when the scheduled works will commence
You can review an example submission here.
When multiple residents report the same issue, it demonstrates community concern and can help bump problems up the priority list. Taking just a few minutes to submit a report could make a real difference in protecting our village from future flooding.
Please submit your report at fixmystreet.

Hello thank you for this. I have reported this issue recently and after a few back and forth I was advised of the following, the dredging of the dyke will help to some extent. I shall continue to report as advised here.
“Just to let you know this issue has turned out to be more complicated than we first thought. We need to take this on for more investigation. We will let you know the situation as soon as we can. Thanks for bearing with us.”
