Update on the Village Spring Litter Pick!

UPDATE ON ASLACKBY COMMUNITY LITTER PICK

On Sunday 22nd March, five hardy souls donned hi-vis and, armed with litter picking devices supplied by Bailey Builders of Bourne, spent a worthwhile hour and a half collecting rubbish. The village centre is generally tidy, but it is surprising to see what blows under hedges and into ditches as you walk around.

The areas up near the main road and around the village hall were spruced up – it is surprising what people leave behind! Here are three of our very own Wombles enjoying a well deserved bacon roll along with the fruits of their labours. We hope to make this an annual event and would love to welcome more people along, to keep our village looking tip top!

Whether you can spare the full two hours or just pop along for a short while, every effort makes a real difference.

When done, hand in a bag of rubbish and you’ll be rewarded with a bacon or vegan sausage bap. The perfect way to round off a productive morning!
